Justice from the Start, Supporting Prenatal-to-Three with Federal Relief Funds: Webinar 3 Health
The federal relief funds in the American Rescue Plan and the earlier rounds of federal relief represent significant —often unprecedented — investment, providing champions with new opportunities to advance equity and justice from the start in the prenatal-to-three period. This webinar is the third in the series with a specific focus on maternal and infant/toddler health strategies. We will hear from dynamic leaders who will address the pressing environmental health issue of lead; maternal health care coverage; building the capacity of pediatricians for early childhood mental health diagnosis and referral; creative equity strategies within Part C Early Intervention; and implicit bias training for home visitors and pediatric providers. We will feature:
• Jeannine Galloway, MPH, Maternal and Child Health Director, Georgia Department of Public Health (equity in Part C Early Intervention and implicit bias for home visitors and pediatric providers)
• Vikki Crouse, Policy Analyst, NC Child (environmental and health issues related to lead)
• Stephanie Rubin, CEO, Texans Care for Children (maternal health coverage and support for pediatric mental health diagnosis and referrals)
